Steelcase Inc. has deployed an innovative e-forms solution to streamline and automate its Tuition Reimbursement process, engaging directly with its employees to reinforce a solid foundation in efficient, decentralized Self Service HCM.
A multi-user process was required that could handle electronic attachments
At Steelcase, employees undertaking relevant external tuition or training may be eligible for reimbursement of some or all the costs they incur. The process requires an initial request from the employee, notification to their line manager and approval from a HR Shared Service Center team. Automated follow up at the end of a period of approved training is also vital to ensure that the employee submits receipts and evidence of their qualifications gained, as is a smooth integration with payroll processing for timely payment of the reimbursed amounts.
